A CLASSIC, plain and simple. This is vintage Rothrock. CR plays Kathy Gallagher, a CIA agent who quit the agency after her husband was killed(on her wedding day!) by an international criminal. She moves to Asia and makes a living by fighting for money. She's also still on the trail of Otto(played very well by Richard Norton) the man who had her husband killed. Sound like your basic revenge movie? Well it is, but it's one of the best in the genre. The movie begins with an excellent fight scene and keeps up the momentum from there. The film switches gears right in the middle and gives Kathy Gallagher a bigger reason to live than just revenge. She meets an old man has his grandson who nurse her back to health(Otto did some bad things to her). They both teach her that her need for vengeance is unhealthy, but after all that Otto has taken from her, it's all she has left.
It's tempting to lay out the entire movie but that would be robbing you of fully enjoying this film on your own. All you need to know is this: Great fight scenes + Great Bad Guy + Good Acting + Cynthia Rothrock = Lady Dragon. (Just try to ignore the part where CR dresses up like a prostitute. It just doesn't work.).
Best Fight Scene
Cynthia Rothrock vs Richard Norton. The final battle in the warehouse will leave you in awe. The fight goes back and forth and I swear they were really, really hurting by the end.
