Only a few days until Cynthia Rothrock Month hits and all hell breaks loose on this website. I have a lot planned, including a complete redesign, new stuff each day and a few surprises... until then, here's an essay I found floating on Usenet.

I know it's almost impossible to hope that George Lucas gives a damn about posters on the web when it comes to "his creation" Star Wars and the plot lines etc. But as I heard Arnold Schwartzenneger say the next Terminator will be female...(I personally don't think a Terminator 3 will do well in the box office...especially since James Cameron isn't directing it)...it's time for you to grow up George Lucas. We haven't heard a peep about the so-called Sith Lord apprentice replacement for Darth Maul for a very long time. This leads me to suspect you don't plan on replacing the character with a new one. Of course, rumors abound that actor Christopher Lee who is going to be in Episode 2...is AWFULLY old to be the new Sith Lord apprentice...but then again so is Darth Sidious/Senator Palpatine.

[snip]

So...let's take up the idea of the Sith for instance. Of course there have been disputes galore about the nature of the Sith... whether there are many Sith, only two Sith..or whether or not there even is a Sith Academy, etc. Let's not even get into the philosophical arguments about why the Sith have been in hiding for 1,000 years before "The Great Fight" which was the lightsaber duel between Qui Gon Jin, Obi Wan Kenobi and Darth Maul. But it's been made apparent that Sith=no females. I understand you can't satisfy every racial, ethnic group out there...but clearly...the fact that women don't seem to do much...except being Handmaidens for Queens, or Princesses in dungeons to be rescued doesn't bode well for them. Why is that George Lucas? Haven't you been reading the news lately? Hillary Clinton just got elected Senator in NY state. (She's just a few years away from making a bid for the Presidency) But there has been some glimmer of hope after reading about Aussies (FEMALE) who are rumored to be Jedi Knight trainers for "troubled Jedis"...but nothing very firm.

And then comes the whisperings about the so-called Handmaidens for Queen Amidala for Episode 2. Rumors are abounding that one of them turns out to be the Sith Lord apprentice in hiding until the last moment (during the climatic duel for Episode 2). I think it's time you dish out a little more details about the Sith Lord apprentice. But once again you seem to be disappointing. For instance...the name of this Sith Lord apprentice is Lord Tyrannus with your people saying "this guy is really bad"...oops! I guess the cat is out of the bag now...we may not know the plot...but we sure know the gender of the new Sith Lord...male. Very disappointing indeed George. I would have expected you to be alittle more "cool". and up to date than that. I guess not. I guess the guys who are in the final "lightsaber duel" for Episode 2 must have been drinking their rounds of beer, and other alcoholic beverages boasting of how great their sword fights have been. Just two words George Lucas..just two words for you:
